There are a few packages out there to do CEC-like things, such as controlling volume:īut I wasn't able to test it because I couldn't find a prebuilt binary and didn't want to, know how to make it. LibCEC version: 4.0.2, git revision:, compiled on Mon Sep 18 23:38: by onĭarwin 17.0.0 (x86_64), features: P8_USB, DRM When I run the cec-client, it doesn't detect any attached devices: 08:36 $ cec-client -l
I'm using this cable which claims to support 'DP Alt Mode' which is apparently the same thing as HDMI-CEC (?)
The standard for this is called HDMI-CEC, and according to Apple, it isn't supported, however homebrew sports libcec, which comes with cec-client. To do this, follow these steps: In Finder, open the Application folder. To work around this problem, rename the amework file as amework. I'm desperately trying to find a way to control my Sony Bravia TV's auto on/off functionality using my Mac. However, Outlook 2016 for Mac looks for a file that is named amework and cannot find the file inside the app bundle.
